How to Place the Vial of Purified Quicksilver on the Table in Diablo 4

During the Witches of the Wastes quest in Diablo 4, after working alongside Donan to find Taissa, one of your tasks is to place a vial of Purified Quicksilver on a table in the Ruined Tower. However, you may notice that you can’t do this. Are there additional requirements? Did you forget something? That’s what I’m here to tell you about. Place the Vial of Purified Quicksilver on the Table in Diablo 4 – Witches of the Wastes Quest Guide

When you pick up the vial of Purified Quicksilver and return it to Donan, do not teleport anywhere. You will have to travel southwest on foot from the northern quest marker until you reach the Ruined Tower, where you’ll place the vial on the table. If you teleport, the vial will disappear, forcing you to go back to the first location and pick it up again!

I’ll share a quick story I experienced while doing this quest. I defeated Valtha with my ice-lightning sorcerer, picked up the vial of Purified Quicksilver, and got ready to head back to Donan. Since I like progressing quickly, I teleported to Wejinhani and rode my horse to the location. When I spoke to Donan and went to place the vial on the table, I noticed it wasn’t in my quest inventory and rode back to the boss location to pick it up once more.

In other words, trust me when I say that I understand the frustration.

Where to Find and Place the Purified Quicksilver Vial in Diablo 4

Fortunately, you won’t lose the item forever if you teleported the first time. You can return to the boss area to find it on the ground again, allowing you to try again.

Once you have it, return to the Ruined Tower, where the southwest quest marker is, and place it in the basket next to the center table. It’s a small basket, so it may be hard to notice at first, but you can hover over it to see the “place the Purified Quicksilver” interaction. Place the vial to progress through the Witches of the Wastes quest in Diablo 4!
