Get that loot!

While kicking zombies in the head is always a delight, scavenging for resources and uncovering rare items is just as much a part of the Dying Light experience. Across your adventuring, you’ll come across large military convoy vehicles that contain plenty of rare loot, but can’t be accessed immediately.

Here is how you can open military convoys in Dying Light: The Beast and get that sweet loot straight from the army.

Enter Military Convoys in Dying Light The Beast

Military Convoys are large armored vehicles that are highlighted on the map with a vehicle icon. You can spot them using the binoculars or come across them naturally. To enter military convoys, you need a special Convoy Access Card to unlock their large armored backdoor.

This keycard can be obtained after taking out a biter wearing military gear.

You should see one close to the convoy, like in the screenshot above. If they don’t appear near the convoy, it’s probably a better idea to come back later because I couldn’t find one immediately, either, but came back a few activities later, and he was right there to be pulverized. Search the body and grab the card!

Be careful, though, as there are usually some tougher enemies around the area at times. Once you have the card, use it to unlock the convoy’s back door, and grab the valuable loot inside:

As you can see, all the items in the convoy were high-tiered, including a neat weapon!

Don’t Forget the Storage Panels on the Side!

After you’ve grabbed the loot from the back, observe the sides of the vehicle and look for any locked storage slots right above the large tires. These usually contain ammo and can be unlocked using a lockpick.

After you’ve looted the back and sides, you’re done with the military convoy. These are always worth opening in my experience because you’ll get high-tier loot from them, and it’s worth the risk.

The only annoyance with these convoys is that the military-geared biter doesn’t always spawn near them, so you might have to come back a few times until they show up.
