Fallout Shelter provides the streamlined experience of planning your bunker to act as a haven for the masses. The basic idea is to create rooms of different shapes, sizes, and nature to ensure that life continues to flourish after the nuclear fallout. However, moving a room can be tricky as there’s no direct method to do that.Â
How to Move Rooms in Fallout Shelter
While the game offers a lot of freedom while designing the shelter, moving an existing room is difficult. The game doesn’t have a system that allows you to pick up a room and place it elsewhere. However, there’s an alternative method that will enable you to remove a particular room and build it somewhere else as per your requirements.Â
The only way you can rearrange rooms is by destroying them first. Then, you can rebuild these rooms at a location of your liking. However, you can only destroy rooms located at the corner. If you want to destroy a room situated in the middle of your base, you’ll have first to clear any constructions at the edge.Â
How to Destroy Rooms in Fallout Shelter
Destroying a built room is relatively simple.
- Select the room
- Click on the upgrade arrow
- Choose Destroy from all the available options
- Press confirm to proceed with the destruction process
You’ll have to remove all civilians who might be present in the room first. You’ll also get back a certain amount of caps after destroying a room. However, this number is significantly less than what it costs to build a room in the first place.Â
If the room produces any type of resource, be careful about the immediate impact that can be there in your colony. As such, it’s best always to destroy a room when you can build a replacement immediately.Â
