Below are the ingredients you need to make carrot cake in TOTK:

  • Swift carrot or Endura carrot
  • Tabantha Wheat
  • Cane Sugar
  • Goat Butter

Once you have all four items, head into your inventory and hold onto them before using them in a cooking pot! Depending on whether you use Swift or Endura carrots, you’ll get different status effects that increase your movement speed and boost your stamina, respectively.

Using two ingredients with different status effects will cancel the buffs entirely, so be careful with mixing and matching items while creating the dish!

One of the hardest parts of creating any cooked dish in TOTK is finding the necessary items! During my travels around Hyrule, I found each ingredient at the following locations and coordinates:

  • Swift Carrot: Hateno Village General Store (3357, -2169, 0120)
  • Goat Butter: Hateno Village General Store (3357, -2169, 0120) and Rito Village General Store (-3645, 1820, 0184)
  • Endura Carrot: Harvest near cherry blossom trees or from completing the “The Gathering Pirates” quest at East Akkala Stable.
  • Cane Sugar: Goron City General Store (1675, 2459, 0384) and Rito Village General Store (-3645, 1820, 0184)
  • Tabantha Wheat: Harvesting in the wild in Tabantha Frontier (-3780, 1352, 0237)
