The Small Tent in Lightyear Frontier is one of the first things you have to create as you begin your adventure on the alien planet. There’s a day and night cycle in the latest indie title, and having a tent set up will allow you to spend the night in peace. Here’s how to make a Small Tent in Lightyear Frontier.
How to Build a Small Tent in Lightyear Frontier
While the Build Menu is accessible from the very beginning (B on PC), the Small Tent in Lightyear Frontier has to be unlocked before you can build it. Once unlocked, you have to select a proper location, and have the necessary amount of resources.
The easiest way to unlock a Small Tent in Lightyear Frontier is to collect the five basic tools. These five tools are mandatory for you to find, and they will guide you throughout the gameplay. All five of them have their respective operations, and you won’t be able to survive and thrive without them. As I collected them in my playthrough, the recipe for the Small Tent was unlocked.
Once you have unlocked the recipe, you can check it from the build menu by pressing B. To build it, you’ll need the following recipes:
- 20 Plant Fiber
- 8 Wood
You can use the Saw to collect both resources.
- To get Plant Fiber, you can target any tree/bush/shrub.
- To get Wood, you’ll have to use your saw on trees. Do note that bigger trees will require your saw to be upgraded before you can chop them down. So target the smaller trees (but make sure they’re trees or else you’ll only end up with Plant Fiber)
The required amount of resources shouldn’t take too long as bushes and trees are very easy to find. Once you have collected enough resources, open the build menu. From within the menu, select Small Tent.
All that needs to be done is to select the location. Once selected, the blueprint is now ready to be built. Go close to it and keep the E button pressed (that automatically adds the maximum resources required) and your tent will be up and ready.
