How to Level Renown Quickly in Diablo 4
What do you mean? Now we can finally play the game.
Whether you’re grinding Renown for those precious Paragon Points at the end of the rainbow or are trying to figure out how best to do it when Season 1 drops next month, there are only a few sources of reliable points currently. I’ll break them down, and give some pointers on how to most efficiently fill those seemingly never-ending experience bars. Here’s how to level Renown quickly in Diablo 4.
Grinding Renown in Diablo 4 – Activate All Altars of Lilith
I’m calling this the “eat your vegetables” portion of the guide. Altars of Lilith are indispensable sources of permanent stat boosts to all your characters, even those in Seasonal Realms. They also reward Renown. It’s not much, but the Renown from these is persistent across Eternal and Seasonal Realms, so you will only have to do these once.

Explore the Entire Map
Once again, this not only makes getting around easier, but also persists in Season 1. The map will remain uncovered for all characters starting on Season 1 launch, and all the Renown you are rewarded will be automatically applied as well.
Focusing on One Region At a Time, Do Side Quests
This is where it gets a little more focused – you’ll want to grab every side quest you can, but I’d recommend focusing on one zone at a time so you don’t fill your quest log. Side quests offer a reliable source of Renown (20 each), and can be completed alongside Map clearing and Altar grabbing.
Cap It All Off With Dungeons
Keep in mind, some side quests are inside Dungeons, so grab those first. Dungeons offer 30 Renown on first clear, and are useful for getting over the finish line after you exhausted other options (the Aspect unlocks are nice, too).
All in all, I’d recommend focusing on one Region at a time so you can really concentrate your efforts and not get too overwhelmed. Remember, map progression and Altars carry over to Seasonal Realms, just in case you needed a little extra incentive to complete those.
