How to Increase Shipment Value in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

Ship us those Divine Orbs, please.

Getting rewards from the shipping feature in Path of Exile’s Settlers of Kalguur league is one of the easiest currency farms every player should focus on. The shipping feature just takes a few minutes of your time to manage, and you’ll be greatly rewarded for it. The reward is based on your shipment’s value when trading with other ports. Increasing the shipment value reaps better rewards, and here’s how you should do it in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur.

If you go to the shipping screen or menu, you’ll see all the resources available, even if you don’t have them yet. Each port has a “favored resource,” which you gain a bonus when trading. You’ll see a number on these favored resources, and if you reach it, it means that you have used up all the bonus shipment value from it.

For example, if the Riben Fell port has “0/3,000 Wheat – 30%” as a favored resource, you can send 1,500 Wheat and gain a 30% increased value for that 1,500 Wheat. The next time you do another Riben Fell trade, it’ll show “1,500/3,000 Wheat – 30%” because they still need more. If you give more than 1,500 Wheat on the next trade, you’ll only get a 30% bonus for the 1,500 Wheat.

That explains the favored resource mechanics for increasing shipment value, but how do players reach millions in shipment value per trade? Well, the secret is Thaumaturgic Dust. All the resources give some sort of additive number to the overall shipment value, but Thaumaturgic Dust acts as a multiplier.

For example, if you add 1,000 of every resource to the trade, you might get a 400,000 shipment value. Once you sprinkle around 100 Thaumaturgic Dust, you can get an 800,000+ shipment value. The Thaumaturgic Dust multiplier has thresholds. Adding at least 100 Thaumaturgic Dusts gives you an increase in shipment value of slightly more than double the current value.

To triple the value, you need at least 8,500 or more, which is a lot more Thaumaturgic Dust. At this point, it doesn’t make sense to go higher. Needless to say, you need to farm thousands of Thaumaturgic Dust, so start disenchanting those items.

Shipment Value Rewards, Explained

After learning about increasing shipment values, you still need to know about the “good stuff.” Each resource has a specific reward category attached to it, and the trading ports you choose also affect the rewards.

First, let’s discuss crops: Wheat, Corn, Pumpkin, Orgourd, and Blue Zanthimum. All these crops give currency as a shipment reward regardless of which trading port. While all these reward currency, I have a theory that Blue Zanthimum gives more Runes as a reward. From my experience of sending countless 1,000,000+ shipment values, I always gave more Blue Zanthimum compared to other crops, and it yielded more Runes. Take this with a grain of salt, though. You just want to increase all crop yields for more currency.

Second, different types of ores and bars reward the following:

Based on the table above, it does make sense to target a few resources to match your needs and wants. Verisium Ores and Bars provide the best value, considering their rewards. However, you can also get lucky with the other rewards. I got my first 6-linked armor piece from a shipment, which is great.

All of these rewards are based on your production, so you really need to max out your settlement first. Here are some early currency farming strategies that can help you farm gold along with currencies.

As a note, reaching rank 11 on Shipping increases your overall rewards.
