Starfield Increase Oxygen

How to Increase Oxygen in Starfield

Time to take deep breaths and strengthen your lungs.

As you explore planets in Starfield and progress through the story, you sprint often to reach various destinations quicker. However, your oxygen will rapidly deplete as you run around, especially if you’re over-encumbered. While it may feel painful initially, you can rest assured that you can raise your capacity. How do you do this, though? That’s what we’re here to talk about. To learn more, continue reading to discover how to increase your oxygen capacity in Starfield.

Starfield – How to Increase Your Oxygen Capacity

To increase your oxygen in Starfield, you must invest in the Fitness skill under the Physical tree. The first rank provides 10% more oxygen, with subsequent levels increasing it up to 30% extra. The last one reduces the amount of oxygen sprinting and power attacks use, allowing you to do both more often.

Another valuable skill to invest in is Boxing under Physical, which lessens the O2 you use while running during unarmed combat. Although this doesn’t increase your capacity, it’ll help you use less oxygen, reducing the urgency of raising your limit.

If you still find that your oxygen is depleting too quickly, you can also increase your O2 recovery by consuming foods such as Boom Pop drinks. Beverages like sparkling water can also temporarily decrease the oxygen actions used. While these are temporary measures, they can help you out in a pinch, especially if you have many items that you otherwise don’t plan on consuming.

Fortunately, you can’t run out of oxygen in Starfield, so you won’t have to worry about any significant issues if you wait to increase your limit. However, maxing your CO2 leads to you taking damage if you continue springing or power attacking, making it worthwhile to invest in the Fitness skill tree to reduce your odds of this happening.
