Several Factorio 2.0 mods bring so much content and game-changing quality-of-life features to the game. Some players cannot even live without these Factorio mods. However, when Factorio 2.0 Space Age came out, the developers added many of these features to the base game. Nevertheless, there are still new and fun mods to play around with, and here’s where to download and how to install them in Factorio 2.0.
Where to Download Mods in Factorio 2.0 | Factorio Space Age
To download mods in Factorio, you must first visit the Mod Portal on Factorio’s official website. On the website, you must create your own Factorio account or link your Steam account by using the Steam API feature in the website to create your account. This will directly link your Factorio account to your Steam, and you can start downloading mods.
Open Factorio and look for the Mods tab in the main menu. This will bring up the mods currently active in your game and even DLCs like Space Age.

How to Install and Remove Mods in Factorio 2.0
1) Navigate to the Explore tab
To install mods, go to the Explore tab in the mods window and look up all the available mods uploaded by the community. You must also look at the “Factorio version” on each mod, as some mods may still show up but aren’t updated to the latest version, which may cause some dependency issues when installed.
2) Install a Mod
Once you have selected a mod, look to the upper-right corner of the Mods window and click on the “Install” button. It’ll download and install the mod automatically. You can browse through and install more mods if you want.
3) Confirm your Changes
After you are done installing all the mods, press “confirm” on the lower-right corner of the mods window. This will restart Factorio and load up all the needed assets, including the added mods. You’ll be brought back to the main menu with the mods automatically installed.
How to Remove Mods in Factorio
If you want to remove some mods, you can go to the mods window again from the main menu. Go to the “Manage” tab and you’ll see all your installed mods. You can either untick the box next to the mod or delete it by clicking the trash bin icon on the upper-right corner of the window.
Once you have all your desired mods ready, you can start a game or load a previous save file. The mods should work on loaded save files even if you started a game without certain mods.
