If only Grace had more weapons for those inventory spaces.

Managing your inventory is a crucial part of Resident Evil Requiem’s game design. It provides a different challenge, always having to be aware of whether you have enough inventory space.

However, it does get easier because you can increase your inventory space for both Grace and Leon. They both have different methods, and we’ll go through each of them in this short guide.

How to Increase Bag Space in Resident Evil Requiem

Increasing Grace’s Inventory Space

Grace only has eight inventory spaces, but it is designed that way, as you are more focused on making use of whatever is available with extremely scarce resources.

In the beginning, it is easy to manage her inventory space since there aren’t many items to use. When the time comes, you’ll have to manage your items well until you get more space.

The only way to increase your inventory space as Grace is to get Hip Pouches. There are three of them in total throughout the story, acquired at different points.

The first Hip Pouch is in the Rhodes Hill Care Center, available for 3 Antique Coins in the Parlor room. This is after you get the Red Jewel from the Unicorn Trinket Box and use it to open the Parlor near the West Wing entrance.

The second Hip Pouch (it could be your first if you bought something else in the Parlor) is inside the locked room in the Filing Room. You’ll need to get the ID Wristband Level 1 to open the room, and you’ll get that after going through the East Wing in the Care Center.

The last Hip Pouch is near the end, inside the storage container of the ARK section of the story. At this point, managing your inventory is quite easy already since there aren’t many items available for Grace.

Increasing Leon’s Inventory Space

Leon already has a massive attaché case, but you can still increase it. Once you power up the Central Camp in East Raccoon City, you’ll unlock the Supply Box that acts as a shop for Leon.

In the buy menu of the Supply Box, there’s a Case Upgrade that adds more slots to Leon’s attaché case, increasing his inventory.

Leon barely encounters problems with space, but once you start picking up other weapons throughout, they’ll start to matter.

Weapons take a lot of slots in your inventory, and bringing multiple weapons of the same type isn’t advisable. There’s no storage container for Leon, but you can sell the weapons and buy them back if needed, of course, with a slight credit loss.
