How to Increase All Social Stats in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)

Life's more than hanging out with friends and punching Shadows

Being the pseudo daily life-sim it is, Persona 3 Reload includes three Social Stats in the game: Courage, Charm, and Academics. These stats can be improved by participating in various activities around the game, and increasing them unlocks a ton of new content to partake in.

All Social Stats Explained in Persona 3 Reload

The three Social Stats in P3R unlock new activities and actions for you throughout the game, such as completing certain requests for Elizabeth or getting new Social Links. You can increase them through various methods, and maxing them out as soon as possible is recommended. All three stats cap out at level 6.

Each Social Stat has its own set of experience points, and the number of points needed to level them differs for each stat. Here are the amount of points you’ll need to reach each level for each stat:

LevelCourageCharmAcademics
Level 2151520
Level 3303055
Level 44545100
Level 56070155
Level 680100230

When you engage in an activity and see a music note go into a Social Stat, each music note equals one experience point. Generally speaking, most paid activities will grant you two experience points for a specific stat. In contrast, other activities, like working a part-time job, may grant one experience point for multiple Social Stats.

Each Social Stat unlocks specific Social Links, but you’ll also need to level your Social Stats to engage in specific activities:

  • Courage unlocks the Tower, Star, and High Priestess Social Links and gives you new dialogue options you couldn’t previously pick. You’ll also need Courage Level 2 to access the club in Pawlonia Mall.
  • Charm unlocks the Moon, Devil, and Lovers Social Links while giving new dialogue options. It originally added an extra point boost to Social Links, but this isn’t the case anymore on Reload.
  • Academics unlocks the Temperance, Sun, and Empress Social Links and makes you do better in tests.

How to Increase All Social Stats in Persona 3 Reload

There are plenty of methods to increase your Social Stats around the city, and they usually advance time. You should focus on increasing them at night when you don’t have as many Social Links to complete. Paid activities are always better than free ones, except for Dorm activities with team members, as these will also help them strengthen in the long run.

You may also occasionally get some free stat points from events such as classroom questions, so try to answer them all correctly. It’s possible to max all your Social Stats by August or September without ignoring your Social Links during the day.

Aside from the ones listed below, many one-time activities, such as certain Elizabeth requests, may increase your stats, but they’re not listed as they’re not something you can do at any time.

How to Increase Courage in Persona 3 Reload

The Courage Social Stat has plenty of simple but effective methods to increase in Persona 3 Reload. The most recommended/most effective methods below are bolded:

  • Eating the mysterious burger at Wilduck Burger.
  • Eating the Weekend Special Burger at Wilduck Burger (available after completing Elizabeth Request 11).
  • Playing at the Game Parade.
  • Singing in the Karaoke.
  • Watching certain movies in the Cinema during the afternoon.
  • Visiting the Nurse’s Office a day after visiting Tartarus/Full Moon Operation (free action).
  • Spending time with Junpei, Akihiko, or Ken at the dorm during the night.
  • Accessing certain URLs on the Shared Computer.
  • Working part-time at the Cinema or the Chagall Cafe.
  • Sleeping during class (free action).

How to Increase Charm in Persona 3 Reload

The Charm Social Stat is easier than it initially looks to increase, thanks to getting tons of free boosts at the school. These are the main methods:

  • Eating at Hagakure Ramen.
  • Eating the Special Hagakure Bowl on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (requires Courage 3).
  • Drinking coffee at Chargall Cafe.
  • Playing at the Game Parade.
  • Watching certain movies in the Cinema during the afternoon.
  • Spending time with Aigis or Yukari at the dorm during the night.
  • Accessing certain URLs on the Shared Computer.
  • Working part-time at the Chagall Cafe or B Blue V.
  • Answering classroom questions correctly (free action).
  • Getting high scores on exams (free action).

How to Increase Academics in Persona 3 Reload

The Academics Social Stat is harder to increase than the previous stats, but there are many chances to do so. Increasing Academics to certain levels before tests will have you scoring higher, consequently increasing your Charm, too.

  • Eating at Wakatsu Kitchen.
  • Asking for the Seafood Full Course at Wakatsu on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday (requires Charm 3).
  • Studying at the library.
  • Studying in your room before bed.
  • Playing at the Game Parade.
  • Watching certain movies in the Cinema during the afternoon.
  • Spending time with Mitsuru or Fuuka at the dorm during the night.
  • Accessing certain URLs on the Shared Computer.
  • Working part-time at the Cinema or B Blue V.
  • Staying awake during class (free action).
  • Visiting the Nurse’s Office for a lecture (only available after summer break, free action).
  • Joining a group study during the weeks before tests.

Try to set specific days to increase your Social Stats in P3R evenly. Weekends are great for increasing Courage, while Mondays are better for Academics, for example. Always check the Game Parade to see which game is currently available, as this is the best (and most expensive) method to increase them. URLs can also be pretty good overall and can be done on any day you want

Nocturnal Social Links (namely Devil and Tower) don’t have a deadline, so don’t worry about “neglecting” these early to increase your Social Stats. You can start them and ignore their existence until you have your Social Stats maxed out, or only visit them when you don’t need to increase your stats immediately. Some Social Stats are a bigger priority than others, after all.
