How to Improve Rank Quickly in Warzone 2 Ranked Play

Prove your skill within Al Mazrah.

With the launch of Season 3 Reloaded, Call of Duty Warzone 2 finally has its own Ranked Play mode alongside the MW2 Multiplayer. Battle Royale players can finally grind the same style of a competitive ladder, and considering everyone starts at Bronze, you’ll want to improve your rank as quickly as possible.

The Ranked Play modes for Warzone 2 and Multiplayer are both based on SR gains, which means skill rating. Your goal should be to earn as much SR to climb the ranks as fast as you can, and in this guide, I’ll cover everything you need to know about optimizing your gains.

Warzone 2 Ranked Play – How to Improve Rank Quickly

In Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer, the SR gains were much more confusing. Of course, wins would mean you earn SR but performance was a hidden metric as well. Warzone 2 Ranked Play will be based on kills and placement, much like general tournaments for BR modes.

It’s easy to say that winning and getting tons of kills is the best way to improve rank quickly, but that’s not helpful. I would recommend playing for the long game. Once you make it to the top 20, or even the top 30, points on eliminations and placement will go up exponentially.

COD Warzone 2 Ranked Play SR:

  • 21+ Squads Remaining: +5 SR per Elimination/Assist, +2 SR per Squadmate Elimination
  • 3–20 Squads Remaining: +7 SR per Elimination/Assist, +3 SR per Squadmate Elimination
  • 1–3 Squads Remaining: +15 SR per Elimination/Assist, +7 SR per Squadmate Elimination

As you can see from the list on the Call of Duty Blog, kills become much more rewarding as the match progresses. It may be easier to get geared up and wait for more strategic fights instead of aggressively rushing every team. For some squads, taking out as many squads as possible early into the match will be another decent way to earn SR. But that comes at a much higher risk with almost no reward.
