How to Hide in Dumpsters in Different Matches in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4

Time for some stinky spooks.

Fortnitemares has all kinds of wacky missions you can tackle to earn XP and progress towards the free event rewards. One of the weirder missions you’ll encounter asks you to hide in dumpsters in different matches.

Dumpsters likely aren’t a feature you interact with much in your regular gameplay, so knowing where to find them and how to use them for this task can be tricky. It’s not too tough to get done once you know where to look and what to do, though, so here’s how to hide in dumpsters in different matches in Fortnite.

To complete the hide in dumpsters in different matches Fortnitemares quest, you need to hide in four dumpsters across four different matches. You can use the same dumpster in each round, but you must tackle this mission four separate times to complete it.

You can hide in a dumpster by walking up to one and selecting the button that appears next to the word “Hide” once you’re right by it. This button varies by platform and can also be different if you’ve changed your keybinds, but it always pops up next to the word “Hide,” making it a fairly easy function to find. If you don’t see the hide option, there’s another player already occupying the dumpster you’re eyeing.

Best Location to Find Dumpsters in Fortnite

Creepy Camps is by far the best spot to visit for dumpsters in Fortnite. You can find five different dumpsters at this location alone, which is far more than you’ll encounter anywhere else. Four of them are situated in a circle around the east end of the camp, and one can be found by some Port-a-Potties near the west end of the region.

Dumpsters can be found around most main POIs around the island, as well as smaller Landmark locations. They’re especially common around gas stations. Many of the locations you can visit to find them also have multiple Dumpsters around, giving you plenty to choose from.

Here are all the Dumpster locations around the entire island for the Fortnitemares event.

  • Near the east and west ends of Creepy Camps.
  • At the gas station south of Creepy Camps, which is the same one where you can find Shaggy and Scooby-Doo to get a found quest.
  • Near the west end of Bugswatter Beach.
  • North of Ranger’s Ruin.
  • Around Gourdy Gate.
  • Near the south end of Canyon Crossing.
  • In the mountains west of Demon’s Debris.
  • Slightly east of Demon’s Debris.
  • Near the very south end of the island, slightly south of Freaky Fields.
  • North of Demon’s Debris.
  • At Utopia City.
  • North of Pumpkin Pass.
  • South of First Order Base.

There are plenty of other important Fortnitemares quests to get done after this one. If you’re not sure what to do next, you might work on defeating Jason, carving pumpkinsdefeating Ultima Carvercalling players with Last Call, and visiting Stalkboxes.
