There’s more to collect than just guns and outfits in Cyberpunk 2077. You can collect pets, too. And one of the first possible pets you can get is an iguana, courtesy of Yoriobu Araska. Here’s how to find and hatch the iguana egg in Cyberpunk 2077.

How to Find the Iguana Egg in Cyberpunk 2077

So, first things first. You’ve got one chance to get the iguana egg. And that’s during The Heist, one of the first main mission stories in Act 1. This mission has you infiltrating Yoriobu’s penthouse to get the Relic.

Once you get inside Yoriobu’s room, just after the Flathead sequence, stop. To the left of the penthouse door is a large planter against the wall, complete with a fallen log and some grass. If you look closely, you’ll see that there’s an iguana on the log. And if you look even more closely, you’ll see the iguana egg in the grass behind the trunk.

Pick it up, and be sure not to sell it! We won’t be able to hatch it for a bit, so keep it in your inventory.

How to Hatch the Iguana Egg in Cyberpunk 2077

There’s some misconception about the iguana egg. You can be any lifepath and still hatch the egg.

While hatching an egg in real life is as simple as getting a heat lamp, you won’t be able to hatch the egg until you’ve finished the conversation at Tom’s Diner with Takemura. Return to your apartment, and you’ll find a bowl where you can place the iguana egg.

Or, if you’re using your old, unmodified apartment, you can put it in a tray. This tray is near the recessed sitting area, just opposite your bed.

Now, here comes the hard part. The iguana egg takes 90 – 110 in-game days to hatch. Some have stated that it’s only taken them a month of in-game time. But be prepared for the long haul, just in case.
