How to Get Your Seneschal Robot Companion in Diablo 4

Can you pet the... robot?

Diablo 4 Season 3, Season of the Construct, has a big new feature: a robot dog. Well, I guess it’s more of a spider than a dog, but you can pet it if you’re into that sort of thing. Here’s how to get your own.

Diablo 4: Where to Get the Seneschal Robot

The first quest of Season 3 starts in the southwestern port town of Gea Kul. If you start a Seasonal Character (which you’ll have to do to partake in the seasonal mechanics), you’ll be given a quest to check out a disturbance in town. After some brief investigating, the season’s introductory quest, The Ennead, will be underway.

During The Ennead, you’ll be tasked with entering a fissure in the earth, just northeast of Gea Kul. This will become the future location of the season’s hub town: Gatehall. You’ll encounter the new Construct family of enemies when you enter the fissure. None of this is particularly difficult, so just continue downward and keep an eye out for traps left behind by Zoltun Kul.

Once you’ve explored a bit more of the dungeon, you’ll come across Ayuzhan, your companion and questgiver throughout the season. He’ll task you with placing a rune you found back in town into a Construct (your Construct). He’ll also give you your first Turning and Governing Stones, granting your Seneschal Construct the ability to attack enemies with Lightning. If this doesn’t suit your build, fret not: you’ll be getting plenty more in just a little while.

Once you’ve successfully activated the Seneschal Construct, it’ll be your companion for the rest of the Season. You can find dozens of Turning and Governing Stones to customize its abilities, and these can also be leveled by finding duplicates.
