How to Get Murky Water in 7 Days to Die

To clench your thirst in 7 Days to Die, you need to find Murky Water. It is the primary source of water in the game, which recovers 10 points of water and increases stamina recovery by 15%. You can get Murky Water from the following places:

  • Toilets
  • Coffee Pots
  • Coolers
  • Food Piles

However, as you can imagine, this source of water is not the purest since you are getting it from toilets and leftover food piles you need to purify it first. If you drink from the Murky Water without purifying it first, it will inflict the Dysentry Status Effect, which you don’t want.

How to Purify Water in 7 Days to Die

To purify water in 7 Days to Die, you need to get a Cooking Pot by looting Kitchens. Next is to build a Campfire using five Small Stones. Once you have done that, open the Campfire menu and place the Cooking Pot under the Tools section. Now, for the source of Fuel, put Wood or Coal under the Fuel section.

After the Campfire is up and working, navigate to the Drink tab in the top-left corner of the Campfire menu and select Water. For one Murky Water, you will get one clean Water after you click Cook. Wait some time and you will get clean Water in your inventory.

Clean Water replenishes the water meter by 20 points and increases stamina regeneration by 15%. Although you can drink directly from a pond or Murky Water, it will damage your health and inflict the Dysentery Status Effect.
