Place two small balloons on top of the vehicle and one thruster on the front to push your vehicle out of the water. Small balloons are integral here because a large balloon will lift your structures too high and you will be scrambling to get it out of the air. Two small balloons allow you to keep the vehicle hovering just above the water, so having a thruster is useful. In some cases, pushing might work in this state but swimming can change how effective that is.

Before you place the second or third balloon, make sure you are in a position to hit the lever for the thruster. Without the boost, the vehicle has a chance to simply float too high above you and you won’t be able to push it away from the water. If this happens, just carry a crossbow so that you can destroy any balloons with two arrows. Your vehicle will fall to the ground and then you can try placing the balloons all over again.

Of course, there is always the option to skip the vehicle rescue in LEGO Fortnite. Those of you who would rather take your losses can use explosives on your cars to get back some materials in the process. It’s more time-consuming, but you can at least head back to your settlement and make a new car.

Don’t forget to start crafting Power Cells if you plan on driving around the map.
