How To Get Through the Misty Grove in Absolum

As you unlock new paths within Grandery, you will eventually unlock the Misty Grove. Accompanied by the Goblin Champion, you need to reach the heart of the Grove to reap its rewards by carefully following the instructions provided by him. 

If you can’t figure out the path to the heart of the Misty Grove in Absolum, here is how it works. 

Reaching the Heart of the Misty Grove in Absolum

Haunted by Wraiths, the Misty Grove constantly presents diverging paths which, when correctly traversed, lead to its heart. To get to the heart, you need to hit the signpost with the skulls twice every time it shows up.

Use your regular light attack for this to avoid any multi-hit properties. Hitting it twice will move the arrow to the correct path you need to take, and it’s randomised to throw you off. But the instructions are clear, just strike it twice and move to the path. 

If you mess up, the Goblin Champion will insult you at the end of the grove for not being able to follow simple instructions, and you won’t receive anything meaningful. 

What’s at the Heart of the Misty Grove?

If you’ve followed the instructions properly, you will reach the heart of the Grove after three signposts. This will complete the quest associated with Goblin Champion, and you will get to interact with a new merchant called Gonga-lotan.

He sells Rituals instead of Trinkets, and a few additional rituals can come in real handy before you reach the Underking and make your way forward. If you have 600 coins, you can buy all three.

From what I can tell, he doesn’t have a loyalty card system like Kahlo the Trader. 

Dealing with Wraiths

Wraiths are a common enemy in the Misty Grove and have a nasty red attack that deals a lot of damage, so watch out when the wraith transforms into a smaller form to travel towards your location.

They also throw a ghost ball, which you can and should always deflect.

Liberally use your Arcana against them to get the upper hand, and try to close the distance with them and deal direct damage.  

Associated Achievement / Trophy 

After successfully reaching the heart of the Misty Grove, you will unlock the Heart of the Mist achievement. 

So if you’re looking to 100% the game, this is a required side quest. This is one of the easier quests, but it can be a bit unclear what you need to hit initially.
