Honkai Star Rail Trashy Humor

How to Get the Trashy Humor Achievement in Honkai: Star Rail

Bad puns are just the beginning

Achievements equal extra Jades in Honkai: Star Rail, and extra Jades equal more characters and Light Cones to your arsenal, so there’s little to no reason not to go for them. As long as they’re not an inconvenience, of course. Luckily, Trashy Humor is not one of these. This achievement is available right at the start of the game in the Moment of Joy category, with its sole description being “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

And if you’ve been playing the game for long enough (like, two hours or so), you definitely know how deep the love of our protagonist is for trash bags. So this achievement definitely has something to do with it, right? Of course it’s right.

How to Unlock the Trashy Humor Achievement

This achievement unlocks as soon as you use 10 Trash Bags as ingredients for different recipes. No, don’t ask me why someone in any state of consciousness would use literal trash for cooking. Just space anime game things; avoid thinking too much about it. You’ll just hurt yourself in confusion more than I already did.

You can get Trash from the various trash cans around Jarilo-VI’s Administrative District and Boulder Town areas. Trash can also be randomly found in destructive objects, although this is slightly rarer. Trash itself is consumable (don’t eat trash at home), but you gotta open the Synthesize menu and use it in recipes to get the achievement (don’t cook trash at home, either).

Below are all recipes using Trash as an ingredient. All of them must be obtained by completing a mini task such as speaking with certain NPCs or giving them something.

  • Punitive Food: Speak with Amo in Administrative District.
  • Punitive Energy: Speak to Nika in Administrative District.
  • Inferior Protective Gear: Buy a Language Model from Ronald in Administrative District, then deliver it to Fidora in Boulder Town.
  • Vomit Inducing Agent: Speak to Maxime in Boulder Town.
  • Yucky Fried Rice: Fill out the feedback card inside Goethe Grand Hotel’s Cheap Room (the one you can name yourself Heisenberg) in Boulder Town, then speak with Gertie outside of the Hotel.

To get the achievement easily, get Maxime’s recipe first since Vomit Inducing Agent uses 8 Trash at once. You can then make 2 Punitive Energies since they’re easy to make, use 1 Trash each, and are automatically obtained as soon as you speak with the NPC, who is right beside the Teleport. Below are their locations.

So here’s a quick summary of what you need to do:

  • Collect Trash Bags from various sources;
  • Get one or two recipes that use Trash and its respective materials;
  • Craft enough Trash recipes until you use 10 of them.

It’s just like they say, Trash is better served with some soy sauce… Or something like that. After claiming your freebies from this small, not-hygienic-at-all endeavor, why don’t you distract yourself with some different, healthier achievements? Some of them are dedicated to doing certain tasks with specific characters, and I promise you none of them will have you touching suspicious kitchen “ingredients” again.
