Well, to put it bluntly, you have to have low smarts throughout your character’s life until they pass away. More specifically, they must have less than 10% smarts by death. If it’s higher, they’ll usually get the mediocre ribbon or, depending on their accomplishments, ones like rich or family guy. You may even get thief or deadly if things get wild.

Tips for Getting the Stupid Ribbon in BitLife

Back on topic, you ideally want your character to be born with as low of smarts as possible. One reason for this is it’ll naturally fluctuate over time, and as they go to school and age up, it may slowly increase. With that said, there are a few things you can do to prevent this:

  1. Drop out of school as soon as possible. Many countries require your character to be a teenager, but as soon as the option is available, do it so they don’t gain intelligence over time.
  2. Don’t read books or study for school. Doing either can raise your smarts, which is not what we want to do here.
  3. Make poor decisions throughout your character’s life. If a random popup appears, try to pick one that reduces your smarts.

You’ll also want to make sure you avoid doing things like crime or becoming rich. To give a specific example, I had a playthrough where my character had low smarts but went to prison for burglary. She got the thief ribbon because she committed too many crimes. Instead, you can have your character overdose and pass away early, which often gives you the ribbon.
