Ride the Lightning is a new Mythic Item introduced with the Update 30.10, part of the Fortnite collaboration with Metallica. This guide will cover where you can get the new Mythic Item and how to use it in Fortnite.

Where to Find Ride the Lightning Mythic Item in Fortnite

Like other Mythic Items in the game, you can find the Ride the Lightning mythic item in Chests or as ground loot. Although this item is not as common as other items you can get as ground loot, you will have a chance to come across it more often.

Along with finding the Ride the Lightning mythic item on the floor and chests, you can also get this from one of the many spawn locations on the map. These locations are:

• Brutal Beachhead
• Cliffside Lodge
• Grand Glacier
• Lavish Lair
• Mount Olympus
• Nitrodrome
• Reckless Railways
• Restored Reels
• Metallica Loot Island

The last location is the Metallica Loot Island which forms when the fourth Storm Circle comes in. You will find its marker appear on the map when it is about to spawn.

You can get the Ride the Lightning mythic item from Loot Island when you complete the challenge, which is to emote during the performance. It will drop you the Ride the Lightning and other rare items when the emote meter is full.

How to Use Ride the Lightning Mythic Item in Fortnite

The Ride the Lightning item is fairly easy to use, allowing you to go flying in the air when you use the weapon. You can change your direction two times in the air when the meter fills up on the side, and then come crashing down with force on the final meter.

You can use it to get out of difficult situations or when you need to inflict critical damage on vehicles or a group of enemies, although you will have to wait 25 seconds for the timer to cool down to be able to use it again. It is a great mobility item to have on you, that too when near the final stages of the game.
