How to Get the Pact Ring in Fire Emblem Engage

True gamers will marry whoever best benefits from the Crit boost

There’s one mechanic that has always been of utmost importance in Fire Emblem Engage. And that’s getting married to your favorite anime character. Or, in the case of Fire Emblem Engage, platonically marrying your bestie or favorite business partner. What’s the point of taking down a world-ending Fell Dragon if romance/soul friendships are dead? But if you want to take things to the next level with your chosen unit, you’re going to need a Pact Ring. Here’s how to get the Pact Ring in Fire Emblem Engage.

If you’ve ever gone to your bedroom in the Somniel, you might have noticed a small cabinet beside your ridiculously gorgeous bed. Interact with it too soon, and it will say that it “looks like something important belongs here”.

Something very important indeed.

But that important something will only spawn once you’ve completed Paralogue: The Garden of Memories in the center of the map and reach A rank with a unit. Once that occurs, you can return back to this drawer and the Pact Ring will have miraculously spawned. But this ring can only be given to one of your allies, and it can never be taken back.

Once you’ve given the Pact Ring to your chosen character, you’ll have the opportunity to see their S-Rank support. Alear and her chosen beau will also receive a special benefit called the Boon of Elyos. This ability provides that if the married unit initiates combat, they will receive bonuses to Crit and Dodge equal to 2x the number of allies who have acted this turn. Which means that your partner will ideally act last.

So, not only will the power of love mean they’re better at headshots, they’ll also be less likely to take damage. What a beautiful thing.
