Minions are one of the weirdest parts of Final Fantasy XIV. They don’t really do anything, nor do they make much sense at all in this world’s fiction. But hey, you can play Lord of Verminion with them if you want. Mostly, they’re just neat little trinkets people like to collect. One of those that seems to be popular lately is the Fenrir Pup minion, likely due to a renewed interest in Final Fantasy XIV PVP in the new 6.1 content. So if you’ve seen that minion and want to know how to get it yourself, I got you fam.

The nice thing about this is you can get the Fenrir Pup just from participating. The not so nice thing depending on the player is this little critter is a random drop from The Feast. One of the PVP modes in Final Fantasy XIV, The Feast is a 4v4 competition that sees two teams beating each other up for medals. If you’ve been hanging back from multiplayer you might not be pleased, especially if you’re on the opposite end of the spectrum and mostly using the Trust System.
Luckily, there’s a few different ways to play The Feast, including a more casual unranked mode. Win or lose, you’ll get a little something for participation, and that little something could very well be a Fenrir Pup.
There’s one other option. You can also turn in a whopping 20000 Seals to your Grand Company in exchange for a Materiel Container 3.0. This expensive device will grant you a random mount or minion from Realm Reborn or Heavensward, and Fenrir Pup is also on that list. Neat!
