How to Get the Chicago Sweeper in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Because old-school Mafia boss in Spain was the vibe Capcom was going for.

Without getting any extra content, the Resident Evil 4 Remake has a wide variety of great weapons to choose from. You have your most basic pistols and shotguns, up to weapons you’d only expect vetted soldiers to be wielding. It’s a steady stream of power, though it doesn’t stop after something as trivial as beating the game. Thanks to the Extra Content Shop, three different weapons can be added to your arsenal. One particular one is a little tricky. Here’s how to get the Chicago Sweeper in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

For starters, you’ll want to have completed the game once. We suggest you do this on Hardcore, as it’ll prepare you for the journey you have ahead of you. Once that’s done, you’ll want to start a new game on Professional mode and attempt to complete the full game in under seven hours. That seems like an odd requirement, but it’s what you’ll need if you want to secure at least an A rank by the game’s end.

Once you’ve done that, you should be able to pick up the Chicago Sweeper for a small fee of some Content Points in the Extra Content Shop. Afterward, it will appear in the Typewriter Storage on your next playthrough. It can receive a wide array of upgrades, with its exclusive upgrade being that it will never run out of ammo. We don’t know about you, but having infinite ammo sounds like a swell upgrade to us.
