How to Get Breakneck Weapon in Destiny 2

The current method as of December 2023 to get the Breakneck auto rifle is by playing the Gambit competitive mode. This mode has two teams fighting random mobs and banking enough light orbs, or motes, to the limit before the other team can do so.

Players can receive the Breakneck as a random reward from winning Gambit matches or focusing Gambit Engrams for it at the Drifter vendor, located in the Annex section of The Tower. However, the latter option will only become available after receiving the weapon once through winning matches. Focusing Engrams specifically for the Breakneck is a good way to roll the dice and get the perks you would like.

Best Breakneck Auto Rifle God Roll in Destiny 2

The Breakneck is a great weapon to have in both PvE and PvP modes. Auto rifles are easy to use for everyone in general, and it is no surprise why the gun has returned under the Gambit banner. It is great for quickly clearing out rooms of enemies in Gambit while fending off the occasional invading player.

Here are all of the best perks to use for the Breakneck auto rifle:

  • Barrel – Arrowhead Break
  • Magazine – Richochet Rounds
  • Trait 1 – Subsistence
  • Trait 2 – Onslaught
  • Origin Trait – Gun and Run
  • Masterwork – Range
