How to Unlock the Ballistic Aspect in Diablo 4
You can obtain the Ballistic Aspect in two ways:
- Clear the Whispering Pines dungeon in Scosglen
- Extract it from gear
While completing the Whispering Pines dungeon is a surefire way to get the Aspect, you can occasionally find it on Druid gear, which you can extract at an Occultist.
Whispering Pines Dungeon Location in Diablo 4
Whispering Pines is a dungeon located in eastern Scosglen. The easiest way to get here is to travel east from Under the Fat Goose Inn or Tirmair. You can also head into your Codex, find the Aspect and select it to pin the dungeon’s location on your map!

After completing the dungeon, you’ll automatically unlock the Ballistic Aspect to use at any time!
What Does the Ballistic Aspect Do in Diablo 4?
The Ballistic Aspect is a Druid utility Aspect that grants your Earth skills two extra ranks while you’re fortified. In particular, having Preserving Earthen Bulwark, Crushing Earth with Safeguard, or skills under the Defensive Posture path will help you significantly fortify your character and buff your Earth abilities.
