If you’ve been enjoying Pokemon Sword and Shield and you fancy yourself a collector, then you’re probably not going to want to be skipping the Eeeveelutions that you can get your paws on this generation. However, just picking up an Eevee is the tip of the iceberg – anyone can use elemental stones to get to their earlier-gen Eeveelution of choice, but it won’t be that easy for some of the other variations. Here’s our guide on how to get Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
How to Get Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield
The upside to getting a Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield is that they appear to have made it a vastly easier process than previous iterations. One main criteria to get Sylveon here in Galar is to ensure that your Friendship with Eevee is beyond reproach. However, we might be getting ahead of ourselves here if you don’t actually have an Eevee yet. You can find these critters on Route 4, so keep hunting around there until you’ve picked one up. If you were a Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee player, we regret to inform you that your adorable Gigantamax version doesn’t evolve so you will have to obtain one independently.
Once you have your Eevee, it’s time to turn it into a Sylveon. In order to do so, you need to make sure that it has the following requirements fulfilled:
- Your friendship with it is at three hearts
- It knows a Fairy-type move
- You level it up whilst both the above requirements are ticked off
For those who aren’t quite sure how to get your mitts on a Fairy-Type move, well, Eevee actually picks up one naturally. It’s called Baby-Doll Eyes, but if you didn’t know that you were going to need it at this stage, you can re-learn it thanks to the handy dandy Pokemon Center schemes that now offer this service. As long as you have that movie and the right friendship level, go whack into a Wild Area for an easy level up and get the Sylveon of your dreams.
Now that you know how to get Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield, you should be able to get a whole damn team of Eeveelutions if you’re sufficiently dedicated. Need a hand with anything else in Galar? Check out these other tips and tricks:
