How to Get Strong Acid in Subnautica 2
Sounds like weapons are incoming?
Strong Acid unlocks a key material, the Fiber Mesh, in Subnautica 2. However, it is difficult to craft because it also needs another key resource to craft, which is the Necrolei Cyst.
Here’s a quick guide showing you where to find the Necrolei Cyst and also how to craft the Strong Acid in Subnautica 2.
How to Get Necrolei Cyst in Subnautica 2

Before crafting the Strong Acid, you’ll need to find the Necrolei Cyst first. The nearest Necrolei Cyst was near the open area outside the cave systems in the Blackbox – Quaker habitat. These Necrolei Cysts look like extremely tall and bright jellyfish and always have several spawns next to each other.
During the day, you can easily miss it because it doesn’t glow as brightly, and everything is pretty clear. At night, these pinkish lights are a dead giveaway. Once you find one, bring out your scanner and scan it first. After scanning, you can bring out your Survival Multitool and smash the tip and pick up the Necrolei Cyst.
You don’t get as many of these Necrolei Cysts because they aren’t as abundant as minerals like Silver Ores and Quartz.
How to Craft Strong Acid in Subnautica 2

After getting the Necrolei Cysts, you need to craft the Processor. The Processor requires 2x Titanium, 1x Mild Acid, and 1x Copper Wire to build, and obviously needs the scanned blueprint by just going through key objectives and habitats and scanning every possible object you can find.
Once it is up, interact with the input (left side of the Processor) and look for the Strong Acid recipe under the Refinement category. Strong Acid needs 2x Necrolei Cyst and has a processing time of 30 seconds per craft in the Processor. If you don’t have the Strong Acid recipe, just craft the Mild Acid in the Fabricator to unlock it.
Process the Necrolei Cysts and just wait for the finished product on the output side of the Processor. These Strong Acids are mainly used to craft the Fiber Mesh, which requires 2x Fiber and 1x Strong Acid.
