Watch out for the rocks!

When you enter Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Lion King realm and meet Nala for the first time, you’ll help her search for Simba by travelling through a cave, passing a waterfall river and, ultimately, finding the famous lion. Once you reunite the two, they’ll ask you to gather some bugs to eat! Surely they’re hungry after fending off hyenas, and they’ve deemed you trustworthy enough to help. While slimy bugs aren’t typically too difficult to find, some factors make it incredibly challenging. In the Lion King realm’s quest area, you’ll notice that the nearby river suddenly has several orange fishing spots to which you can cast your line. When you do this, you’ll begin catching slimy bugs and progress through the mission. However, while two of them are in pretty accessible places, there’s one you’ll have to look out for.

That’s right. I’m talking about the “rock spot”.

Since this fishing spot is near a pile of rocks, it would normally be inaccessible, preventing you from progressing through the mission. Don’t worry, though. This page wouldn’t be here if we didn’t have a solution!

Disney Dreamlight Valley Slimy Bug Location

To catch this third and final Slimy Bug, go onto the stone ramp shown in the picture above. Here, you’ll get a clear shot of the orange fishing spot, and, following some trial and error, you’ll be able to cast your fishing line out and do the fishing minigame as usual. Once you do this, you’ll complete this part of the Eyes in the Dark quest and can move on to locating colorful bugs!
