How to Acquire Servants in V Rising

Before you can even think about getting Servants, you’ll need to complete most of your beginning quests in the main storyline. These quests include hunting down a V Blood boss for the first time, building structures, and expanding your Castle with walls and floors. After completing a certain amount of quests, you’ll receive the mission titled Lord of the Manor, which will unlock the Servant Coffin recipe. Here’s a step-by-step guide on everything you’ll need to do next.

1) Build a Servant Coffin

Right after you complete the Lord of the Manor questline, you’ll receive another quest titled Servants and one more right after named Army of Darkness which will guide you on how to get your first loyal attendant. From here, you must build a Servant Coffin to get started. Servant Coffins are basically structures that convert humans into Servants and can host one Servant per Coffin. So, if you want five Servants, you need five Servant Coffins. To build one of these structures, you’ll need 16 Planks, 8 Copper Ingots, and 1 Greater Blood Essence.

2) Dominate Humans

In these questlines, you’ll unlock the power titled Dominate Human, which will allow you to control the mind of a human. You will need to damage the human and get their max health to 30% or less to be able to control their mind. After getting their health low enough, you can cast Dominate Human Spell which will fire a bolt of vampire magic and control the mind of the targeted human. From here, you just need to walk back to your Castle and interact with the Servant Coffin. It’s worth noting that you can’t teleport to other Waygates or Transform while under the effect of Dominate Human, so you will need to walk all the way back to convert the mind-controlled human into a Servant.

3) Convert Human Into Servant

After you’ve reached your base, you can interact with the Servant Coffin and pay 100 Blood Essence to begin the conversion. From here, you must wait 40 minutes for the human to be converted into a Servant. Once the time is up, you can summon your Servant for the first time and take a look at their special stats. However, you won’t be able to control the Servant until you’ve completed the following quest titled Throne of Command. In this questline, you’ll need to build the structure named Castle Throne to order your Servants around. It’s a lengthy quest that requires a lot of materials, but it should be relatively easy to follow. Once done, you can command your Servants to do your bidding.
