How to Get Red Crystals in Lightyear Frontier

Where to Get Red Crystals in Lightyear Frontier

Red Crystals can be found in the Pine Heights area, northwest of the beginning area of The Meadows. The crystals will be grouped together alongside the winding paths but will require players to have the Spike Saw Power I upgrade from the Upgrade Depot before the crystals can be harvested.

It is a process to get the upgrade and involves building the depot and gathering a lot of Aluminum Rods. You will also need Polyberry Oil by growing Polyberries and then crafting it using the Oil Presser.

The Spike Saw Power I upgrade costs five Aluminum Parts and the resource can be created at the Assembler construct with two Aluminum Rods and three Polyberry Oil. After obtaining the upgrade, your mech’s Spike Saw tool can harvest the Red Crystals.

How to Use Red Crystals in Lightyear Frontier

Red Crystals are necessary for two recipes: Red Crystal Dust and the Merchant Landing. Red Crystal Dust can be created by building a Grinder and is required for the Irrigation Hose Power I upgrade to clean up stronger slime.

The crystals are also used for the Merchant Landing, which allows a merchant to show up at your base to buy resources, cosmetic mech parts, and to sell items. The Merchant Landing requires 10 Aluminum Rods, 10 Stones, and eight Red Crystals to build.
