How to Get Raw Food in The Alters

In The Alters, when you start progressing in the story and get your first Alter, you’ll learn that there are several ways to prepare food apart from making Mush. However, you’ll need Raw Food, and here’s a short guide on how to get it in The Alters.

Where to Get Raw Food in The Alters

To get Raw Food, you’ll need several things first. First, you must find an Organics Deposit and set up a mining output in the area.

Look for geysers and use your scanners to look for deposits. You can literally just spam your scanners and form squares and triangles until you find one. If you unlock the scan button, it’ll be easier to see the deposit.

Start mining some Organics until you have a few. You can put a Travel Pylon next to the outpost to fast travel to it whenever needed.

You can check the resource icons at the bottom of your screen or check the storage for these materials. You’ll want to have Organics in stock as much as possible.

Second, you’ll want to create a Greenhouse in your base. A Greenhouse should take 1×8 of space, so you might want to rearrange your base layout. Once you have built and crafted a Greenhouse, go to it and work on it.

When you work inside the Greenhouse, you can turn Organics into Raw Food. A package of 10 Raw Food takes 16 minutes, so it can take a lot of time to get them.

Luckily, you can ask Alters to work on the Greenhouse to do these for you. However, you’ll have to do them when you are just getting started because you’ll want to stockpile them faster earlier in your playthrough.

Once you have raw food, you’ll use it in the kitchen to cook High-Quality Meals to survive and improve your relationship with other Alters since they now get to eat some good food.
