Crafting Components are super important if you plan on crafting powerful weapons or upgrading the Iconic items you have in your Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 inventory. After Update 2.0, though, getting them around Night City no longer works in the same way, so I’m here to help you find the components you need.
Where to Get More Item Components in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0
You can get more Crafting Components by disassembling weapons or by creating small amounts of Item Components in the crafting menu. Disassembling weapons is by far the best method of collecting components within Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, and you want to start breaking items down as early as you can.
To disassemble weapons, you can head into your inventory and hold “Triangle/Y” on a controller or “Q” on a keyboard. As you level up in Night City, higher rarity weapons will start to drop at much higher rates. Legendary weapons started to drop frequently Once I hit the level 30-35 mark. Any levels beyond 40 and you will start to see rare loot all the time.
Keep in mind that disassembling weapons isn’t the end all be all. You can also head into the main crafting menu and craft groups of five Crafting Components at a time. If you want to craft something like Tier 4 Item Components, then you’re going to need a stack of Tier 3 components to work with. So, the cycle feeds into itself.
After Update 2.0 was released in Cyberpunk 2077, the ability to purchase Crafting Components from shops was removed. So you’re left to your own devices in Night City unless you just want to buy blueprints.
