How to Get Moonstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley (March 2024)

Who doesn't love shiny rocks?

Disney Dreamlight Valley has its own Premium Shop where players can get the best, most luxurious items in the game. The currency used in the said shop is Moonstones, the game’s most valuable trading coin. With the game now officially available, there are various implemented ways to obtain this extra currency, and we’ll talk about those below.

How to Get Moonstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Moonstones are hard to come by if you’re just playing normally, so spend them wisely. The main free-to-play method to get them is by finding Blue Chests around the valley in its various Biomes. A single Blue Chest spawns daily around the area, and opening it will give you 50 Moonstones immediately.

Your world can have a maximum of three Blue Chests up at once if you haven’t opened them yet during the last three days. Any excess chest will be “lost” as they won’t be able to spawn until you find your previous ones. So make sure to log in often and take your time to search for them whenever you can.

You’ll also get some Moonstones when getting any of the game’s Founder Packs, which grant Early Access to the game along with some other bonuses, Moonstones included.

Another method to get Moonstones is by progressing through Star Paths. The Valley’s version of a Battle Pass offers both free and Premium paths, and the latter can net you some extra Moonstones alongside various other exclusive items.

The Premium Path itself costs Moonstones to unlock, but it easily pays itself with all of those cosmetics you’re getting by simply completing your Duties. A new Star Path will be available from time to time.

Finally, you can directly buy them through the Shop with real money. This is the game’s main monetization method, and will remain after it officially releases as a free-to-play game. There are various packs with different prices depending on your region.

There’s no content such as quests or events locked behind Moonstones in the game, but there will be various exclusive rewards available only for those who get them. You can eventually get a few of them without spending anything, but you know the drill about microtransactions and how they work. They can get their way onto you sooner or later, so be careful.
