How to Get Mags of Holding in MW3 Zombies

The Mags of Holding item can be found in the new Dark Aether Rift in the northern section of the tier 3 red zone. The teleporter is labeled on the map, butcannot be accessed until players complete a few steps first.

Players must first complete the Act 4 Countermeasures mission, which is close to the new Dark Aether Rift. Once completed, you will receive the first of four relics that are necessary to open the rift. The four relics are:

These relics must be placed at their matching pedestals where the Dark Aether Rift will be. A teleporter will appear from the black tornado, and an overpowered Mimic will come out. Defeat the Mimic for the rift to stay permanently unlocked.

Next, you will need a Sigil item, either from the previous Dark Aether Rift or from completing tier 3 missions, that can be placed on the rift and opened. You will be transported back to the Countermeasures map but must complete three missions and extract before the time limit expires. The three missions are:

  • A bounty mission located in the warehouse at C5 coordinates.
  • A PND mission located at the top of the apartment building at E7 coordinates.
  • An Aether Extractors mission located on the top of the mall at I6 coordinates.

Completing these missions could reward you with the Mags of Holding item. It is not guaranteed to drop in any of the missions, so keep entering and trying until you receive it.

How to Craft Mags of Holding in MW3 Zombies

The Mags of Holding can be crafted once players earn the schematic from the Dark Aether Rift. It can be found in the harder version of the new rift.

Players who complete mission in the Dark Aether Rift can also receive an Elder Sigil item, which works the same as a regular Sigil. It can be placed at the rift and unlocks a harder version of the Dark Aether Rift.

Players will do the same three missions as before, but with harder enemies and a shorter time limit. Again, the Mags of Holding schematics are not guaranteed to drop from completing the missions and is random.
