To get the Kensei Armor Set in Ghost of Tsushima, you need to complete The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale, which you will unlock after completing A New Horizon main story quest in Act 1. The tale requires you to take on five Straw Hat Assassins in a duel before you can face Kojiro himself.

How to Start The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale

To start The Six Blades of Kojiro mythic tale, head southwest of Toyotama in search of a musician named Yamato. Speak with him to learn about the infamous assassin Kojiro and the Straw Hat assassins. He will give you the locations of the Straw Hat assassins where you will need to duel with them.

Here are the five locations where the duels will take place:

When you reach the marked location, look for a Buddha statue and take the path on the right of it towards the cave entrance. Once there, enter inside the cave and talk to Kojiro to start the duel.

Kojiro is not an easy opponent to face and will take you some tries before you defeat him. With no ability to use your equipment during the fight, you will have to rely on your swordsman skills against Kojiro.

Once you have defeated Kojiro, you will get the Kensei Armor as a reward for completing the mythic tale. Along with the armor, you will also get the Kensei Headband and the Charm of Unseen Respite.
