Clavia doesn’t trust what the Mayor has been up to and now it’s your job to search Mayor Reede’s Shed to help put his wife’s suspicion to rest. This quest in Hateno Village is one of the many side quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that may seem simple at first but will require a bit of problem-solving.

If you already attempted to check Reede’s Shed in Tears of the Kingdom, then you know the main door is locked and there is no way to simply walk into the room. To help you spy on the mayor and report back to his wife Clavia, we have you covered with a quick process. Here’s how to get into Reede’s Shed in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – How to Access Mayor Reede’s Shed

When you speak to Clavia in Hateno Village, she will ask you to search the Mayor’s shed, which is located directly next to the house. There is nothing next to the shed or within the main house that will help you here though. Instead, you must look behind the house and the hill toward a well sticking out of the ground.

There is no key to be found for Reede’s Shed in Tears of the Kingdom, so the well is the only way forward. Jump down into the well and make your way through the tunnel. Eventually, you will hit a rock wall that can be broken, but this marks the end of the road for the quest.

At this point, you must use the Ascend ability to get any further. This will take you above ground and directly into Mayor Reede’s Shed without ever needing a key. Now you can gather the information needed for the quest and return to Calvia so she knows what her husband has been up to.
