How to Play Starfield Early
To get early access to Starfield, you must buy its Premium or Constellation editions. While these cost more money than its Standard Edition, they’ll give you up to five days of early access, allowing you to play as early as September 1, 2023.

The downside? You’ll have to pay a considerable amount more. The price jumps from $69.99 to $99.99 when you upgrade to Premium and skyrockets to $299.99 with Constellation. The edition you pick is entirely up to you, but either way, accessing Starfield’s five-day early access period requires owning one of these two editions.
Fortunately, they both come with the base game, so the extra cost comes from their additional perks.
Starfield Premium and Constellation Edition Features
Alongside the base game and five days of early access, Premium Edition also grants you the following rewards:
- Shattered Space Story Expansion
- Constellation Skil Pack
- Starfield Digital Artbook and Soundtrack
- Steelbook Display Case (Physical copy only)
- Constellation Patch (Physical copy only)
Upgrading to Constellation means getting the perks listed above and the following bonus items:
- Credit Stick with Laser-Etched Game Code
- Starfield Chronomark Watch and Case
There is no right or wrong answer for whether to upgrade to Premium or Constellation or stick to Standard and play later. The choice is yours to make!
