How to Get Data Points Fast in StarRupture

Data Points act like the main currency for progression in StarRupture. You acquire them through many means, and they are used to unlock better and cooler technology.
Gathering Data Points can get quite slow, but here’s the trick to getting those Data Points efficiently in StarRupture.
How to Acquire More Data Points in StarRupture
There are several ways to acquire Data Points, but the main and most efficient way is to use the Orbital Cargo Launcher and target any of the required materials for a specific corporation. Each corporation will request one or two materials to be loaded and launched, giving you Data Points progress that will unlock more and more technology.
In the image above, you’ll see two different materials with different values. Each material launched will give the appropriate number of Data Points toward the corporation’s progress.
So, which one should you go for? The higher Data Point yield will always be harder to produce than the other material. They usually go through more processes, like going through the Smelter, Furnace, and/or Fabricators.
Even if they go through more processes, if the production line is efficient, it will always be the best way to get Data Points progress fast, which is the whole point of the game – create more and more complex production lines until your brain can’t handle it anymore.
There are some instances where the other material could be worthwhile if you mass-produce it enough. Keep in mind, you can always create more and more Orbital Cargo Launchers, and you can have all of them dedicated to simpler materials.
Getting Data Points Through the Analyzing Station
The second way to get Data Points is to analyze resources at the Analyzing Station, which is unlocked early in the game. Go to the Analyzing Station, and you’ll see all the available materials in your inventory eligible to be analyzed.
If you hover over the items, you’ll see “Used in: Analyzing Station,” which means they could be turned into Data Points.
However, don’t analyze everything in this category; some are pretty useful early on, such as Meteorite Hearts.
A good way of getting extra Data Points this early is through gathering Ignitium immediately right after a heat wave. These resources are limited and can only be gathered right after a heat wave, as they cool off if you wait long enough.
