How to Get Dark Trinkets in Dead by Daylight Halloween Event

That's a lot of webs to farm.

Dark Trinkets is a unique in-game currency exclusive to the Halloween Event, Haunted by Daylight, in Dead by Daylight. It can be confusing for players who inconsistently play the game since Trinkets are also the in-game currency for other events with a different name attached to it. In the Haunted by Daylight event, you want to farm all the Dark Trinkets as much as possible to capitalize on getting all the unique exclusive rewards. Here’s how to get Dark Trinkets in Dead by Daylight’s Halloween event.

How to Farm Dark Trinkets in Dead by Daylight | Haunted by Daylight 2024

To get Dark Trinkets, you must finish the Event Tome challenges under the Haunted by Daylight events tab. In the main menu, you’ll see a play button with a Haunted by Daylight event name on it. Queuing up for those games will put you into the exclusive Halloween event where you’ll basically play a normal match, but there are Void Pumpkins and the Void Realm to play around with.

Before going into these games, you should open the Haunted by Daylight challenge by opening the Archives in the main menu. Under the Haunted by Daylight tab, it’ll open up a web\, which you should all be familiar with as it is similar to the Blood Web progression system in all of your characters.

Under the Haunted by Daylight event web, you’ll either path toward the top or the bottom. You can go for both, but it really depends on what challenges you find worth doing or playing. However, most go for doing both since the top side gives you exclusive cosmetic rewards while the bottom gives you one or two Dark Trinket nodes.

When you finish the first Event Tome, you’ll see some bonus rewards on the right, giving you more exclusive Halloween cosmetics and more Dark Trinkets. Each week will unlock a new web, giving you more challenges, cosmetics, and Dark Trinkets to finish and obtain.

Choose one of the challenges by dragging them into the Survivor or Killer Challenge bars on the top of the web. Once they are activated, you can proceed to play games and progress. Most of the challenges are “naturally” unlocked, meaning you’ll consistently finish the challenges just by playing and finishing objectives, e.g., unhooking or hooking survivors and finishing up generators.

Where to Spend Dark Trinkets in Dead by Daylight

Dark Trinkets are spent in the exclusive Haunted by Daylight store. It is not accessed through the Store tab in the main menu, which is why it is a bit confusing to find. In the main menu, you’ll see the “Haunted by Daylight” banner in the lower-right corner of your screen.

Clicking the banner will give you access to all the exclusive cosmetics during the event. Under the Collection tab, you’ll see all the cosmetics that require Dark Trinkets as the in-game currency and not the premium Auric Cells. Some of these are returning items from the previous Haunted by Daylight events in the past Halloweens. If you go to the store tab, you’ll see more exclusive cosmetics, but all of these require Auric Cells, which is the premium currency in the game.

You want to stick with the Collection tab as these are the only cosmetics you can buy with Dark Trinkets in the game. There are only a few of them since the other cosmetics are unlocked through the challenges, as mentioned before. Acquiring a specific number of cosmetics during the event will earn you points. Earning points has three different milestones that will reward you with more cosmetics:

  • 6 points or items – Void Cat Event Charm
  • 12 points or items – Haunted Unleashed Event Badge
  • 20 points or items – Enter the Void Event Banner
