Diablo 4: Crushed Beast Bones Location Guide

Crushed beast bones are a potential drop from beasts, animals, and were-creatures. While you’re not guaranteed to get this item each time you kill an animal in the wild, they are one of several sources of this alchemy material. However, you’ll want to focus on wild animals rather than targeting ghouls and other hostile monsters.

More specifically, you’ll want to fight bears, Lycans, and other large creatures for crushed beast bones. They are a rare drop, though, so be prepared to fight several of them. The main downside is that Fractured Peaks, the main starting region, doesn’t spawn wild animals in abundance compared to later areas like Scosglen and the Dry Steppes.

To give an idea of this, the picture below shows a quick example of where I acquired some Crushed Beast Bones!

Fortunately, you can still encounter them in Fractured Peaks; I found my first bear early on my way to Kyovashad after leaving Nevask!

Alternatively, you can defeat specific rare enemies in the game for a guaranteed drop of this resource. In fact, you can even use these monsters to farm them!

Where to Farm Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4

Admittedly, there are more exciting ways to find Crushed Beast Bones than going around and looking for random bears and were-creatures. Since they’re not guaranteed, it isn’t the most efficient, but it is viable if you’re out and about and find the right enemies.

Instead, if you specifically want to farm Crushed Beast Bones, you’ll want to look for elite, rare enemies. So far, after fighting several of them, there are two that I consistently get these bones from: Gaspar Stilbian in eastern Scosglen and Lord Eonan in western Scosglen. I have defeated both multiple times and got five beast bones every time.

How to Use Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4

Crushed beast bones are essential for upgrading your health potion to a light healing potion at an alchemist. You’ll unlock this at the alchemist once you reach level 30 and will need the following resources for the upgrade:

  • Gallowvine x20
  • Biteberry x10
  • Crushed beast bones x5
  • Gold x470

Once you have the crushed beast bones and other materials, you can go to any alchemist, such as Veroka in Kyovashad, to upgrade your minor healing potion to a light one!
