How to Get Clay in Dungeon Settlers

Clay is a resource that can be surprisingly difficult to find early in Dungeon Settlers. The fastest way to get the smaller amounts needed for early upgrades is by farming Acid Slogels and Predatory Frogs, while merchants become the better option when you need larger quantities later on.

Farm Acid Slogels and Predatory Frogs

The best early-game method for getting Clay is defeating Acid Slogels and Predatory Frogs while exploring the dungeon.

Acid Slogels begin appearing from Floor 3 onward and have a chance to drop 2 Clay when defeated. While the drop chance is not particularly high, there are enough Acid Slogels during dungeon runs that the drops add up quickly.

Predatory Frogs are another excellent source of Clay. They can drop 5 Clay, making them one of the better single sources if you encounter them during your runs.

Since merchants become more accessible after progressing further, they are generally a mid to late-game solution rather than the fastest early-game method.

Dive to Deeper Floors
