The Midwinter Blight event is all about collecting resources from fiends that are worse than the Grinch, and you need some Blighted Fragments to keep them at bay. If you want to master the holiday event upgrade the square, I have just the guide for you.
Where to Find Blighted Fragments in Diablo 4
You can get Blighted Fragments by killing any Blightfiends around the Fractured Peaks during the Midwinter Blight event. The Fractured Peaks are the snowy section of Sanctuary where any new players will begin their new journey. While the holiday event is live, the peaks will have Blightfiends all over the zone.
When you look at the map, you can see that the Fractured Peaks are covered in purple in the same way that Helltides are covered in red. That means you can run around the zone while the purple version Helltides are active and collect Blighted Fragments from any Blightfiend groups that populate the snow.
In my experience, any enemies, such as ghosts or goatmen, will not drop any of the currencies you need for the Midwinter Blight event. Even World Events within the Fractured Peaks won’t help you. Instead, just hunt down the enemies like Blightfiend Scamps relentlessly. Each one will typically drop 4-7 fragments at any given time.
How to Collect Blighted Fragments:
- Head to the Fractured Peaks during the Midwinter Blight.
- Search for Blightfiend enemies.
- Kill the groups of fiends and collect the fragments.
There are three currencies you can collect from the Blightfiend groups in Diablo 4. Blighted Fragments are the most common, and you must collect 300 at a time for just one Midwinter Proof. Lost Heirlooms are the second hardest to find, but they are simply tied to the Frigid Husk totems. The Red-Cloaked Trophy is tied to the Midwinter boss, so it will be the toughest to get. Most of the time, Blighted Fragments are what you want to collect.
After you’ve had your fill of the icy goatmen, head to the Abattoir of Zir for an even bigger challenge.
