How to Get All Ores and Ingots in Hytale
Time for some mining!
To progress in Hytale, you’ll steadily need to work on improving the gear you have. This means you’ll need to know where to find better ores so you can work on transforming them into ingots.
Every Hytale world is vast and rich with resources, but since every zone is quite detailed and complex, it can be tricky to figure out where to go searching for the items you need. If you’re struggling to find one of these key resources, here’s how to get all ores and ingots in Hytale.
Where to Find All Ores in Hytale

There are eight ores you can find throughout Hytale, the majority of which can be found throughout all zones. Each one is far more common and easy to locate in certain regions and places, though, so you’ll generally want to set out to explore specific spots when hunting for each one.
Here are all of the ores you can find, what they look like, and where to look for them. We’ll update this information as we continue to explore and learn more about where they can appear.
| Ore | Image | Zones | Where to find |
|---|---|---|---|
| Copper Ore | ![]() | Grasslands Sometimes in Desert Sometimes in Lava Sometimes in Snow Can be found everywhere | Can be found underground in most biomes, including areas that have blocks like Basalt, Sandstone, Shale, Stone, and Volcanic. It’s generally quite common, especially in caves. |
| Iron Ore | ![]() | Grasslands Howling Sands Desert Snow Lava Can be found everywhere | Commonly found throughout caves, including those that have blocks like Basalt, Sandstone, Stone, Shale, Slate, and Volcanic. Seems to be more common deep underground and a bit more abundant in desert areas. |
| Gold Ore | ![]() | Howling Sands Sometimes in Grasslands Sometimes in Desert Sometimes in Snow Sometimes in Lava | Often on the surface in desert areas, but also fairly common in caves. Can be found on Basalt, Sandstone, Shale, Stone, and Volcanic blocks. |
| Cobalt Ore | ![]() | Snow Lava | Commonly found on the surface of icy mountains. Can spawn on Basalt, Sandstone, Shale, Stone, and Volcanic blocks. |
| Silver Ore | ![]() | Desert Snow Sometimes in Grasslands | Fairly common around Desert and Snow zones, typically easy to spot on the surface, but can also be found in caves. Spawns on Basalt, Sandstone, Shale, Stone, and Volcanic blocks. |
| Mithril Ore | ![]() | Devastated Lands | Easiest to get by defeating enemies in zone four, specifically the giant skeleton boss. I haven’t been able to find it while mining despite searching extensively, so it’s possible it’s not actually minable just yet. We’ll keep searching, though, and provide an update here if we find it. |
| Adamantite Ore | ![]() | Volcanic Islands | Near lava and underground, close to the rare red and purple Cinder Wastes spots on these islands, on blocks like Basalt, Sandstone, Shale, Stone, and Volcanic. |
| Thorium Ore | ![]() | Desert Badlands Howling Sands Sometimes in Grasslands | On cliffsides and in caves throughout warmer, desert-like biomes. Found on blocks like Basalt, Sandstone, Shale, Stone, and Volcanic. |
How to Craft All Ingots in Hytale

All ores can be converted into ingots using a Furnace, which is one of the many Workbenches you can craft and use. To make a Furnace, you’ll first need to craft and place a classic Workbench, as the recipe for this item is tied to a regular crafting station.
Once you have a Furnace placed, interact with it to transfer the ore you want to smelt. You’ll also need some kind of fuel, like Sticks, to get the fire started, so be sure to grab some before trying to turn it on. Wait a bit after the fire starts, then you’ll be able to grab your freshly made ingots.
Now that you know where to find all the ores you’ll ever need, you can get to work crafting some powerful new gear. There are plenty of unique weapons and armor you can make, all of which require lots of ores in addition to other key resources like Leather and Sticks.
