As a Godlike in Avowed, you are already blessed with the ability to converse with Sapadal and receive certain powers as you progress through the story. There are, however, five other blessings you can receive by seeking out Ancient Memories hidden within each region.
These Ancient Memories are hidden just as well as the other treasures buried in the Living Lands. If you’ve been searching for all five memories to unlock your dormant Godlike power, you will find everything you need to know in this Avowed guide.
Dawnshore Memory – Remembrance of Kishamal Location

The Remembrance of Kishamal is the first Ancient Memory you come across in Avowed and is close to a path you take as part of the story. During the An Untimely End mission, you will be tasked with visiting an individual called the Watcher, who will assess you after your, well, untimely end to make sure you are fit to take on the rest of the tribulations the story has in store for you.
The exact location of the Ancient Memory is just south of the Watcher’s cabin, which is northeast of Paradis and a little ways southeast of The Rise.

Along the path to the Watcher, you will find a small, cave-like area. Run through the mouth of the cave to find a garden with a large pond in its center. Head right through the pond to reach a ledge overlooking the cliff, where you will come face to face with the small star that indicates the presence of an Ancient Memory. Interact with the Memory to watch the accompanying cutscene and earn your Godlike Ability.
This Godlike Ability you will find here is called the Remembrance of Kishamal. This is a passive ability that increases your maximum health by 10%.
Emerald Stair Memory – Remembrance of Enhekala Location

The second Godlike Ability, Remembrance of Enhekala, is not as easily found as the Dawnshore Ancient Memory. Thankfully, however, it is still relatively simple to reach, especially if you know where to look.
This Ancient Memory is hidden in a Ranger Outpost in the Wildwoods west of Fior mes Iverno. The Memory is at the very top of the Ranger Outpost, overlooking the land below. There are a few enemies you will have to take down here, but they shouldn’t cause you too much trouble.

Interact with the Ancient Memory to unlock the next Godlike Ability, the Remembrance of Enhekala. This is another passive ability that increases your maximum Essence by 10%, which is particularly helpful for mage builds. Even if you don’t frequently rely on your Essence, however, the Ancient Memory is still well worth seeking out, as, at the very least, it sheds light on more of the game’s lore.
Shatterscarp Memory – Remembrance of Nimanna Location

Unlike the previous two Ancient Memories that were relatively safe to approach, the Shatterscarp Memory will require a bit more of a fight. The Memory itself is located in the Great Sand Sea, at the top of a Xaurip settlement a little ways northwest of the Sand Sea Oasis.
This settlement is, of course, filled with Xaurips. One of which has a bounty on his head. You will find the Xaurip, Chieftain Grithin, near the top of the settlement. Defeat him and his cronies to clear your way to the Remembrance of Nimanna.

This Ancient Memory grants you 10% more maximum Stamina and the bounty of the Xaurip Chieftain Grithin, which you can collect at the Bounty Desk in Thirdborn for 1200 Skeyt and 257 XP.
Galanain’s Tusks – Remembrance of Maru Location

The fourth Ancient Memory is tucked away near the westernmost point of the map, just south of the Slumbering Fields of Galanain’s Tusks. To reach it, head to the Restless Cavern and make your way into a small tunnel. Head left to the end of the cavern, where you will emerge on a small ledge. The Ancient Memory will be waiting for you on the edge.
Interact with the Ancient Memory in Galawain’s Tusks to earn the Remembrance of Maru. This is another passive ability that increases your Attack Damage by 10%, which is an incredible upgrade, especially in the later stages of the game when better weapons and armor become extremely costly.
The Garden – Remembrance of Sapadal Location

The fifth and final Ancient Memory is located in the Garden. The Garden is one of the longest and hardest challenges in the game, and the Ancient Memory is located somewhat in the middle, in between Giatta and Yatzli’s personal obstacles. If you reach Yatzli’s Library, turn back.
Shortly after leaving the room with Giatta’s obstacle, you will be faced by several waves of enemies. Once you have taken them out, head to the back left of the area to find a set of doors. Open the doors to collect the Remembrance of Sapadal, which allows you to regenerate health when it is below 50%.

This is one of the most valuable Memories, but it, like the Shatterscarp Memory, comes with a fight. After collecting the Memory, you will re-emerge into the Garden, where two Maegfolc will reawaken. Maegfolc are some of Avowed’s more difficult enemies, so you will be glad for the Godlike Ability you just learned, especially while taking on two at once.
If you skip the Memory and don’t open the doors, you can pass on the encounter with the Maegfolc. However, the Remembrance of Sapadal is an incredibly valuable Ability that will come in handy throughout the rest of the final chapters, and it is well worth the risk.
