A standard access card isn’t the only key you’ll need for Building 21 in the Call of Duty DMZ. Just like many of the other loot points in Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, you need items like a Red Access Card to open up some of the closed off areas within Building 21.
Unlike the normal access card for the smallest of the DMZ maps, the Red Access Card can’t be purchased from a Buy Station or anywhere else. Instead, you’ll need to put in some work to get your hands on one of the cards, and hopefully, you’ll have a bit of good luck.
COD DMZ – How to Get a Red Access Card
Picking up one of these red gems is one part luck and another part knowing where to look. There is no guarantee that the card will appear in any one place, but containers like Supply Drop Crates are the best ways to pick up a Red Access Cards. Capturing a SAM site and then following the drop that was shot down will give you the best odds within the DMZ.
However, it’s not the only way to pick up one of the cards. Normal chests such as blue crates or orange crates can spawn these keys as well. Considering how rare the orange crates are, you’ll need to search places like Strongholds on the DMZ that require cards of their own from guards or Buy Stations.

Defeating bosses and completing contracts can also give you the chance to search rare Supply Crates as well, and one of the best rewards in these crates are the Red Access Cards once again. As soon as you find a card of your own in the COD DMZ, you can open up the room near the Office Storage in Building 21.
