Is there anything more entertaining than whipping out a minigun and mowing down an entire horde of Crimson Fleet? They seriously thought they could steal your decorative plants? Eat lead! But before this totally real scenario can play out, you need to get your hands on a minigun. In Starfield, it’s known as the Microgun, and it’s a powerhouse. Here’s how to get a minigun in Starfield.
Where to Find a Minigun in Starfield
The easiest way to acquire a minigun in Starfield is to steal one from UC Surplus in The Well, New Atlantis. It’s sitting inside an unlocked yellow crate directly beside Bianchi. You’ll want to stealth behind the desk, carefully open the container, and loot the minigun within without being detected. If you are, we recommend reverting to a previous save. Bianchi will ask for his merchandise back, or he’ll call the UC Vanguard to deal with the problem.
Of course, this means stealing the weapon, which marks it as stolen. To remove the stolen status from the Microgun, sell it to the Trade Authority, then immediately repurchase it. It’ll then be safe to carry with you.
Alternative Methods to Get a Microgun in Starfield
If you fancy yourself a morally good character in Starfield, stealing and potentially killing anyone, especially those suffering in The Well, is out of the question. Right?
If that’s the case, don’t worry about investing in Stealth. Instead, invest in Commerce. You’ll receive a bonus when selling items and a reduced purchase cost when buying items. Eventually, as you level and progress through the game, the Microgun will become available at various vendors across the Settled Systems.
