How to Get a Free Lynx in Honkai: Star Rail

Many Honkai: Star Rail players struggled with certain content for not having a healer character other than Natasha. This issue is now long gone as Lynx is now available as another free character as long as they can clear a relatively difficult challenge along the way.

How to Claim the Free Lynx in Honkai: Star Rail

Players get a free copy of Lynx by clearing Stage 2 of the Pure Fiction game mode. The Camping in the Snow event is a permanent addition to the game introduced in Version 1.6, where players can claim the Quantum Abundance character from the Events tab once they tackle this difficult multiple-wave challenge.

Pure Fiction is located in the Exalting Sanctum of the Xianzhou Luofu. Pure Fiction is an AoE-based challenge that greatly favors Erudition characters to the detriment of Hunt ones. Destruction characters are always welcome here as they have good single-target and AoE damage.

Don’t worry if you can’t get three stars (or not get stars at all). Your goal is to get 30000 points, and you’ll unlock Lynx as long as you do just that. If you already own the character, you’ll get an extra Eidolon for her, which is always welcome.

How to Beat Pure Fiction Stage II

Much like Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction stages constantly rotate, which means that the best-recommended teams also vary according to when you attempt the challenge. The second stage always has a recommended level of 65, so you should be good with an average team level of 70.

As AoE damage is the main focus here, you’ll find much more success with the likes of Jing Yuan, Himeko, and even Herta instead of damage dealers like Seele, Sushang, and Dr. Ratio. If you don’t have some Erudition characters built yet, this is the time to level them!

For the very first rotation shown above (Youci’s Wandering Words), Argenti, Qingque, and Clara are some of the best choices for the first half. For the second one, Himeko, Jingliu, and Herta will all work wonders for easily taking out your enemies.

Pure Fiction greatly favors defeating all enemies as fast as possible, so bring an extra carry instead of a sustain character if you feel confident. If you don’t think you’ll have enough damage, bring a healer just to be sure. Stage 2 is safe enough for doing so.

As long as you have some well-built characters, you won’t find much difficulty with dealing with this stage. The next ones shall be considerably harder, but you have six weeks until each cycle is gone, so there’s plenty of time to build new characters for the mode or wait for a specific character to return to help you clear it.
