How to Fuse Titania with Matarukaja in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)

Queen of fairies and queen of buffs.

From the many complicated fusions requested by Elizabeth in Persona 3 Reload, getting Titania with Matarukaja can be difficult. Here’s how to fuse Titania with Matarukaja in Persona 3 Reload.

Persona 3 Reload: Elizabeth Request #62: Fuse a Titania with Matarukaja

You need to perform a Titania with Matarukaja fusion during the Elizabeth request 62 – Fusion Series #4: Lovers, Titania. This request becomes available on 9/10, but you’ll need to be at least level 49 before you’re able to fuse Titania.

Titania doesn’t learn Matarukaja naturally by leveling up, so you gotta find a way to pass it down to her through fusions. Fortunately, you might already have the needed Personas for doing so by the time you get to this request.

Reward for Completing Elizabeth Request #62 in Persona 3 Reload

The reward for completing Request 62 from Elizabeth is a Male Uniform (Summer). Like the other cosmetic rewards, this doesn’t give you any new stats or combat abilities, and is entirely aesthetic. Keep this in mind when deciding whether to take on this request.

How to Fuse Titania with Matarukaja in Persona 3 Reload

There are a couple of ways you can fuse Titania with Matarukaja, but the easiest way to pass down Matarukaja to Titania is by fusing Black Frost and Dominion. Black Frost naturally has Matarukaja, so you can pass it down as soon as you fuse it regardless of level.

You’re required to make Black Frost through a Special Fusion to perform King and I during another one of Elizabeth’s requests (alongside King Frost, of course), so you’re guaranteed to have it at the Compendium or in your stock if you’ve been completing her previous requests. If you haven’t yet acquired Black Frost, you’ll be able to make one as a Special Fusion starting at level 37 by combining Jack Frost, Jack-o-Lantern, and King Frost.

Dominion, on the other hand, can be obtained from the Tziah block in Tartarus around floor 130. You can also fuse a Dominion by combining Thoth and Mithras or Loa and Sarasvati, but finding it during Shuffle Time is considerably easier if you’ve made your way far enough into Tartarus. Once you get Dominion, head back to the Velvet Room and combine it with Black Frost to fuse a Titania with Matarukaja.

If for whatever reason Black Frost and Dominion aren’t easily accessible for you, you can also pass Matarukaja onto Titania by performing a slightly longer chain of fusions:

  • Fuse Legion and Shiisaa to make Orthrus, then level Orthrus up to level 32 to learn Matarukaja.
  • Fuse Orthrus and Incubus to make Ganga (make sure you’re passing on Matarukaja).
  • Fuse Ganga with Thoth to create Titania with Matarukaja.

Fuse Titania with Matarukaja Using a Skill Card

Alternatively, you can fuse a Titania with Matarukaja by performing any other Titania fusion (such as Ganga + Thoth) and giving her a Matarukaja Skill Card. You can find Matarukaja Skill Cards from Shuffle Time or random chests in Tartarus. You’ll also get one as a reward for rescuing a missing person in Tartarus’s Yabbashah Block or from Mitsuru if you got first place on your July exams.

If you’re thinking about giving Matarukaja via Skill Card to another Persona later and don’t want to waste the card on Titania, you can head to the Naganaki Shrine and speak with the Inari to copy your Skill Card for free. Time won’t advance if you do it either.

Titania can also be found later in the game during Shuffle Time if you don’t want to fuse her at all, but it will take you a few extra floors until you find her. Also, you would still need to have the right Skill Card, so fusing ends up being simpler.

Titania with Matarukaja ends up being quite useful too since she’s one of the earliest Personas to learn Concentrate. This can make her a powerful buffer to your team, as well as help you set up powerful tier 3 magic hits. Unlike the awkward previous fusion request of Mothman with Agilao, she ends up being quite useful in the long run, so fuse her as soon as you can!
