How to Fully Heal in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Why can't you heal yourself?

Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be fairly unforgiving, especially to those just starting its unique blend of action and role-playing. If you’ve found yourself unable to heal properly with only a sliver of health remaining, here’s how to fully heal in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to Get a Full Health Bar in Dragon’s Dogma 2

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, gray health cannot be recovered by any sort of potion or curative — no matter how powerful they may be — but rather must be recovered by Camping or resting at an Inn. Keeping an eye on your overall health in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is much more important than you may originally realize. As you take damage in battle, you may realize that you cannot bring your health back up to the top — this feature is known as the Loss Gauge.

No matter how long you decide to rest at an Inn or Camp, you’ll recover all of your Loss Gauge, making it so you can heal to full once again. Thankfully, you’ll start your new adventure with full health, so you won’t need to worry about healing after resting — unless you’re immediately ambushed by a traveling band of Goblins, that is.

Each town should have an Inn for players to rest at, found on their map with an icon as shown above. A comfy bed is going to cost you some serious coin, however, so make sure that you’re carrying an ample supply. On the other side of the fence, if you’re aiming for a true nomad playthrough, you can find camps scattered across the paths that you take to new towns — you’ll just need to ensure that you have Camping Gear to take advantage of them.

No matter which option you choose, you’ll be well rested and ready to best anything that gets in your way. Be sure to keep your eyes on our Dragon’s Dogma 2 section below to learn more helpful tips that can save your life, and see one of the most horrifying creations made by players thus far.
